Rock Runner Racing Repeat As WE Rock Grand National Champions

Spring, Texas (September 18, 2007)Rock Runner Racing's Pro Modified and Unlimited teams recently made 1300 mile trip from their headquarters in Rapid City to defend their WE Rock Grand National titles. Prior to placing second in the Pro Modified class and fifth in the Unlimited class for this year's Western National series, the team won both the Unlimited and Pro Modified class at last year's Grand Nationals event in Boyd, Texas.

This year's Grand Nationals was held at the Spring Creek Off-Road Park in Spring, Texas in front of approximately 2000 fans on each day of competition. In addition to the spectators, television, print, and online media representing Xtreme 4x4, Dirtsports, Crawl, Pirate4x4.com, WickedMag.com, and Off-Road.com were in Spring to capture the action.

The spectators and media witnessed Rock Runner Racing make history as the first team to ever win back-to-back Grand National Championships. Rock Runner Racing's Brian Errea and Joachim Schwiesow held on to his lead in the Pro Modified class for the entire event, from start to finish. “I was very pleased with how my Twisted Customs YJ performed,” stated Errea, “particularly given the explosive growth that occurred in the Pro Modified class this year.” Jason Paule and Mark Berger were less fortunate, with muddy courses pushing him back to eighth place in the Unlimited class at the end of the first day. The veteran Paule kept his cool though, earning a spot in the final “shoot out” and ending the competition in sixth place in the Unlimited class. Strong finishes mean that both teams now qualify for the WE Rock World Championships to be held in Sydney, Australia in January. Such a strong season would not have been possible without the support of sponsors such as BFGoodrich tires, Fox Shox, PSC steering, Spidertrax, Mastercraft seats and harnesses, Trailready rims, Detroit Locker, True Hi9, Winchline.com, and JE Reel drivelines.

The next stop for Rock Runner Racing will be the XRRA season finals in Colorado Springs on September 29th. From there the team will be at the Off Road Expo in Pomona and the SEMA Show in Las Vegas before traveling to Australia for the WE Rock World Championships.
