Rock Runner Racing Starts 2008 Season with Win Congress, Arizona (January 8, 2008)Rock Runner Racing started 2008 the same way they ended 2007: by winning. Unlimited class team member Jason Paule traveled 1300 miles through the winter's worst storms in order to attend WE Rock's first competition of the year, the annual “Put Up or Shut Up” event in Congress, Arizona. Paule overcame slick conditions to build a commanding lead after the first day, one that was impossible for others to overcome on the final day of competition. Even after securing the win in front of hundreds of spectators, Paule completed a bonus line in the finals that no other driver was able to compete at the event. “The BFGoodrich Krawlers were really hooking up” Paule commented, “even in the wet terrain.” In addition to the large spectator turnout, media from Pirate4x4.com, WickedMag.com, and Crawl magazine were all in Congress to capture the action. ![]() The only disappointment of the weekend for Rock Runner Racing was the absence of longtime spotter Travis Wadeson, who was not able to compete alongside Paule at the recommendation of his doctor. Wadeson was injured in a car accident last year and has not been able to compete since that time. Former driver Mark Berger continued interim spotting duties for Paule until Wadeson's return. Much of Rock Runner Racing's success can be attributed to their sponsors, all of which they retained from 2007. This support from BFGoodrich tires, Fox Shox, PSC steering, Spidertrax, Mastercraft seats and harnesses, Trailready rims, Detroit Locker, True Hi9, Winchline.com, and JE Reel Drivelines continue to provide the team with consistency and proven performance year after year. Rock Runner Racing plans to continue their winning ways in the 2008 WE Rock Nationals Series and XRRA Rock Racing Series.
