Rock Runner Racing Takes Two Podium Spots At Grand Nationals

Hannibal, Missouri (September 9, 2008)Rock Runner Racing headed into the WE Rock Grand Nationals hoping to defend their Grand National titles from the previous two years. The Pro Modified team of Brian Errea and Joachim Schwiesow knew that they had a tough task ahead of them with the huge influx of competitors in the Pro Modified Class. They got a boost from surprise team mate Tracy Jordan, who joined Jason Paule to campaign a rear steer Twisted Customs buggy in the Unlimited Class. The people of Hannibal were gracious hosts for the event, which was held at Hannibal Rocks, an excellent location that featured outstanding judging and challenging courses.

The two Twisted Customs buggies performed wonderfully during the competition. Although slippery conditions caused Errea to go over on his side twice, the only casualty was a broken rim after a drop off a huge ledge. “We continue to test our sponsors' equipment in the most demanding conditions” Jason Paule explained. “There are simply no better products out there than Fox shocks, BFG tires, Mastercraft seats, or Spidertrax axles. If they hold up to this kind of abuse you know that they can handle any obstacle on any traill.” Rain made the courses a challenge for all involved, but when the event was over Errea and Schwiesow finished in third place in Pro Mod, finishing ahead of teams such as Ken Blume and Dean Bulloch. Paule and Jordan did even better, finishing in second in Unlimited, in front of Cody Waggoner and early favorite Jesse Haines.

Live webcam and radio updates were provided by Pirate4x4.com, and additional media representing DirtSports magazine, Crawl magazine, and WickedMag.com were also in Hannibal to capture the action. The Grand Nationals capped an action-filled season of WE Rock competition for Rock Runner Racing. The team is now working hard to build innovative new buggies for next season, but will take a break from fabrication to appear at the Off Road Expo in Pomona during the first weekend in October.
